Primarily the number of sector was of course small and subsequently the number was increased to meet the necessity,

Participation in relief work:
One day I learnt that young men of Bangladesh were being selected in Agratala and sent to Deradun for training as freedom fighter. I was waiting for such an opportunity. Getting information I went to Agartala town after one or two days. At first I collected identity card as Bangladeshi refugee from Joy Bangla office of Colonel Chaumuhoni. Holding of an identity card was very helpful for movement in the town safely and in the bus freely without fare. This time the people of Agartala dedicated much for the people who came from Bangladesh. Although they had ome limitations, they stretched their hands of assistance and cooperation. Whenever we people of Joy Bangla got co-operation in a bus they stood and helped us to sit in the bus. The bus conductor did not like to charge any fare from us. Many of them gave up the people of Bangladesh their houses to live and sacrificed their lands for making houses to live. In spite of their difficulties they felt much satisfaction to entertain us with helps and assistance, accommodation and foods.
As a citizen of Bangladesh I went to the office of Joy Bangla to collect my identity card. There I had the privilege to acquaint myself with Mr. A. Latif Khan, the eastern coordinator of Mujibnagar Government. He used to issue identity curd to the refugees coming from Bangladesh. That is why everybody knew him well. On the other hand there was an office of eastern zone of Mujibnagar Government established in a one-storied building at Krishnanagar of Agartala. Mr. Hasan Taufique Imam, Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong, Hill Tracts, was in charge of the office of Zonal Administrator. The eminent Awami League leader Mr. Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury was the chairman of Eastern Zone Liberation Council of Mujibnagar Government. Taking identity card from Joy Bangla Office I met Imam Shaheb at Krishnanagar Office. I requested him to send me to Deradun for training. He informed, "A group of members was sent for training some days before, you have to wait for some days".
